Hey there! I'm Alex, also known as Aurora or Al (any of the three are fine). You've probably already read a little bit about me on the main page, but here's some quick personal facts:

About the Shrine

This shrine serves as a home for anything I feel like sharing regarding FMA, including (but not limited to) meta discussion and analysis, translations of songs and other material, trivia and story guides, information on the franchise's history, image galleries, and so forth. I started this shrine in June 2023 and I'm continually working on it, so expect it to expand greatly as time goes on! :) But do please also be patient with me if things are left unfinished for a while.

Because this is a personal website and not an encyclopedia, you'll find a lot of personal opinions and casual speech. Nonetheless, I hope to do a better job providing trustworthy information than the FMA wiki, which has absolutely no policy in place requiring contributors to cite their sources on anything, and therefore nothing to prevent people from just making shit up. >_> (It's also run by a neonazi, but that's a story for another day. The long and the short of it is that the FMA wiki sucks, and while it's handy for quick "Wait, which episode was that again?" type lookups, take everything on it with a grain of salt.) I make it a matter of personal pride to cite my sources if I'm trying to present factual information rather than my own opinion, and rely only on primary sources as much as possible; Nonetheless, if you're confused about something or you find an error, do feel free to reach out!

Speaking of personal websites, one last note. This shrine is a subsection of my own homepage, so if you click a link and suddenly end up somewhere pink and purple with gifs all over the place, don't panic! You likely clicked the nav bar at the top of the page, which serves as quick navigation for my entire site. Simply backpage or click the "shrines" button in the nav bar to find your way back. As for navigating the FMA shrine specifically, use the links in the left sidebar.

    All about the fashion of the Fullmetal Alchemist universe. Currently only contains a comprehensive list of every outfit Ed's worn in the manga, but will eventually expand to other characters, the 2003 anime and the live action movies, and one-off promotional illustrations. I also intend to eventually discuss the general traits of fashion from different countries in FMA, as well as provide some suggestions and tips to help folks looking to cosplay FMA characters. (I majored in costume design, in case you can't tell...)
